PROPAGANDA WAR… TOWARDS A CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMENT

Topics touched in the debates and in the last spots in radio and TV crossed over unexpected trenches, no wondering moral values, tax cutting, corruption scandals, revoking of recent laws (e.g. regarding same sex marriage), the proposal of putting soldiers in the streets to fight gun violence and a unconditional support to the United States military advances abroad. Opinion polls presented in mass media have changed dramatically their results in the past few days, moving forward a tie between Liberals and Tories, towards a definite triumph of the Conservative Party and his leader, Stephen Harper. By the end of Christmas season, approaching the Election Day, propaganda campaigns increased their presence in mass media, aggressive arguments were offered to the public opinion.
